Java/J2EE Developer

Momentum Systems is an enterprise content management (ECM) systems integrator based in Arlington, VA, near Ballston Metro. For over twelve years, we have been successfully building custom enterprise-wide applications using Open Text’s Livelink API product for document, workflow and task management. Momentum Systems is a small business that provides a flexible work environment using the latest technologies to fully automate their client’s business processes.

Momentum Systems has an immediate need for multiple Java/J2EE Developers at our headquarters location in Arlington, VA. 

Candidates should have TWO (2) OR MORE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE in the following areas:

  • Full Life-Cycle software development
  • Object Oriented Design and Development
  • 3-tier Web/Intranet application development using Java/J2EE

Candidates should have EXPERIENCE in the following:

  • J2EE and Java and Object Design Patterns
  • Java, J2ee, EJBs
  • Jakarta Struts, Custom Tags and JSPs
  • Hibernate or other Persistence Layer package
  • Oracle or other SQL-based Database
  • Unix or Windows environment

OTHER DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with Spring Framework
  • Experience interacting with the customer
  • Requirements analysis
  • Strong communication (oral and written)
  • Open Text Livelink (or other ECM product) experience

ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED:

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in the full Life-Cycle development of web-based workflow and document management applications for clients of Momentum.  The candidate should have the ability to work well with the customer, other team members and management. The ability to map client business requirements to a technical solution that meets those requirements is highly desirable.

Compensation is competitive and is dependent upon experience and abilities.  Full time employees preferred.
