Development Tools

We have developed software that enables our programmers–and yours–to easily and consistently build Livelink applications.

Livelink Java Toolkit

The Livelink Java Toolkit is a set of Java classes that wrap the functionality of the Livelink Software Development Toolkit (LAPI) in an easier-to-use toolset. Developed over years of building premier Livelink solutions, our Java Toolkit helps experienced Java programmers quickly and efficiently develop Livelink applications.

The Toolkit encapsulates all direct interaction with LAPI, allowing Java developers to invoke Livelink functionality without having to learn Livelink’s structures and software conventions. The Toolkit also groups commonly used functions together so that one Java call can replace multiple LAPI calls. This makes our Java components simpler to use than the Livelink API, requiring less knowledge of Livelink internals and associated data structures.

Now, custom development integrated with Livelink functionality is much easier to create, debug, and test. Instead of time spent learning the intricacies of the Livelink API, your Java programmers can focus on developing efficient Livelink API applications.

Microsoft .NET platform

We can show you how to leverage .NET development to integrate Livelink into your existing legacy systems. Our Java Toolkit can also be invoked from your .NET applications, allowing you to invoke Livelink functionality into your applications.

Livelink ColdFusion Toolkit

The Livelink ColdFusion Toolkit is a programming addition to the Livelink Software Development Toolkit (LAPI).  This software allows ColdFusion applications to execute Livelink functionality by making LAPI calls directly from your ColdFusion application. Seeking to provide additional programming options, our Toolkit enables ColdFusion programmers to develop Livelink-based applications without learning Java or .Net.  It works by encapsulating Java LAPI calls using custom ColdFusion extensions. The Livelink ColdFusion Toolkit also leverages Momentum’s Livelink Java Toolkit to provide efficient and streamlined access to LAPI.  Now–for the first time–organizations committed to ColdFusion can develop Livelink-based applications without their programmers having to learn another development platform.
